I have been using the same black liquid eyeliner from Collection 2000 for years- you know the one! I never thought about trying a different one, because it always worked so well for me, and is cheap.
I buy a beauty subscription box sometimes from ‘Latest In Beauty’- click HERE to see my review! Basically, with this subscription box, you get to choose the products you want to receive. My beady eyes spotted this Illamasque eyeliner, so I added it to my basket.
For a bit of perspective, this eyeliner sells for £20.50 on their website. But, in the subscription box, I got this eyeliner and eight other products for £18! I definitely got a great deal; I couldn’t believe it!
Here is a description of the eyeliner from the Illamasque website:
Create looks with attitude that no one can ignore with Precision Ink in Abyss. Precision Ink’s fine tip allows for defined application. Long-lasting and waterproof it’s perfect for use anywhere on the face and body to bring out your bold side. You can even use it as an nail art pen; simply seal with Illamasqua Top Coat.
Using an eyeliner as a nail art pen? That’s a new one! I will have to try that out one day.
It is correct what say about it being long-lasting and waterproof. During the week, I apply my makeup at 7 am, and it lasts until night-time when I take my makeup off. I’m a chef, so it will be interesting to see if it still stays on in the summer when it is extra hot!
The packaging is very understated; all of Illamasqua’s makeup comes in the same black packaging with their logo. The eyeliner comes in a range of 6 colours- the black one I have here is called ‘Abyss’.
The eyeliner has a tip which resembles a felt tip pen. Before I used it, I was worried the tip was too long and thin, and that it would be too hard to control. I needn’t have worried; it is so easy and quick to apply! You just have to go over it a few times to get the desired line thickness. It certainly takes less time to do my signature flick, compared to my Collection 2000 eyeliner.
To summarise, I would repurchase this eyeliner. I would only buy it if I could find it on offer somewhere- sorry, but I’m not going to spend £20.50 on an eyeliner! I like how quick and easy it is to apply.
