Zoella Beauty: Jelly & Gelato Collection Review

I always get mega excited when Zoe releases new products in her Zoella Beauty range (I’m still a teenager at heart!). The new range is called ‘Jelly And Gelato’, how yummy sounding is that?! It’s certainly a perfect theme for this time of year.

As soon as Zoe announced the products are now available, I jumped straight onto the Superdrug website and placed my order. My parcel arrived super quick, thank goodness, because I couldn’t wait (only took 2 days to arrive!). Okay, so I hadn’t actually smelt the products before I placed my order, but I trusted they would smell wonderful as always. I love having a bath and finding the time to relax and unwind, so all these products are perfect for me.

Can we just take a moment to appreciate the packaging: so much love and thought have gone into the design- it’s beautiful! There are 8 products in the range: I have them all apart from the ‘Gelato Beauty Clutch’ (£14.00) and the ‘Gelato Shower Sauce’ (£5.00).

Gelat’Eau Body Mist (£8, 45ml)

In every collection, there is always a body mist to really showcase the scent. The scent for this range is elderflower and double cream, how nice does that sound? You know how I said I hadn’t smelt this before I bought it? Well, the gamble paid off- I love it! If you have ever tried Elderflower cordial before, imagine that in jelly form served with ice cream: that’s what this range smells like, delicious!

The name of this is so clever, do you get it? I’m just sat here holding the bottle: it has a matte white finish which makes all the colours POP! I always love the body mists; they are more concentrated than most: I can smell it on my skin all day and love it when I catch a whiff.  I can totally imagine Zoe wearing this fragrance, it is so her!

Body Pudding (£8, 200ml)

Body Pudding sounds so yummy, I have to keep reminding myself it’s not food. If you are a little bit confused (like I was) about what this product is, it’s a body moisturiser. I am super lazy when it comes to moisturising, so, if I can find a product which will encourage me to be more proactive then I’m all for it! The tiny pink dots dissolve and disappear into your skin as you rub it in: you have to take your time to rub it all in which is a good thing. The consistency is quite thick and doesn’t leave your skin feeling sticky- bonus!

“Treat yourself to a scoop of lightly whipped body pudding, enriched with extracts of Elderflower and Pomegranate to help brighten, smooth and tone. Massage into clean skin for a soft, fragrant finish.”

Creamy Scrub (£8, 280ml)

Scrubs are really great to use at this time of year: if you are out in the sun a lot you need to remove dead skin-cells so you can get a sun tan and remove product residue such as sun cream. If you are new to scrubs, you apply whilst in the bath/shower after washing. Scrubs come in lots of different consistencies: this one is very fine and lathers up a little bit, so a little goes a long way. The product in the pot looks just like sorbet!

“Serve your skin a treat, this indulgent mix of polishing sprinkles and rich cream is infused with extracts of Elderflower and Pomegranate to help brighten, smooth and tone.”

Pink Bath Wafers (£5, 200g)

The bath wafers are named after the pink ice cream wafers you can buy: once you open the packaging up you’ll see they are shaped like the wafers. Zoe has released other fizz bars in the past, but this is the first bar that provides moisturising ingredients…bonus! You are supposed to get two baths from this bar but I stretch it out to three.

“Bath time has never been so sweet. These fizzy bath wafers are enriched with extracts of Elderflower and Pomegranate to help brighten, smooth and tone.”

Bath Milk Powder (£7, 160g)

I am a bath expert but I haven’t heard of bath milk powder before, is it a thing? You get four sachets in the tube for four baths. Before I tried it out, I imagined it would turn the bath water milky white and be a little bit frothy…I couldn’t have been more wrong! Much to my surprise, my bath filled with SO many bubbles but the water didn’t change colour. Essentially, this product is a crumbled up bubble bar (like a bubble bar from Lush): I’m not disappointed, it’s just not what I expected.

“Take a dip with bath frosting. Enriched with moisturising milk, extracts of Elderflower, Pomegranate to help soften, brighten and tone”

Shower Shake (£6, 160ml)

This must be one of the most exciting shower gels out there! I love the packaging because of the little straw sticking out the top- what a genius idea. This body wash is thick and creamy just like a milkshake: you only need to use a little bit to get a good lather. If you use this alongside all the other products you will smell amazing.

“Indulge in the crème de la crème of body washes. Shower Shake not only cleanses skin, it moisturises too! Blended with extracts of Elderflower and Pomegranate to help brighten, smooth and tone.”

Final Thoughts

In general, I am over the moon with this range! I will thoroughly enjoy using all the products and would probably repurchase them. At the start, I said I didn’t buy the ‘Shower Sauce’, that’s because I didn’t want two shower gels- I wish there were one shower gel and one bubble bath instead. Sweet Inspirations is my favourite collection and fragrance, but this comes a close second.

Are you going to try this collection? Have you tried any other Zoella Beauty products before? Which has been your favourite collection so far?

  1. I’ve never used any of these products before, so always on the look out for good reviews. How are you getting on with the body pudding? I desperately need a moisturiser that doesnt leave a weird residue all day! I love the name. Good write up!
