Latest In Beauty is the BEST beauty subscription box because you can choose what you want! I have been a Latest In Beauty member for a long time. I wanted to say exactly how long, but my order history has vanished; the website has recently been refurbished, this deleted everyone’s order histories.
The design of the website has changed and the whole concept. Previously, it wasn’t a subscription box at all: they had different pre-made up boxes you could choose from (subscription free), they also had a few individual items for you to build your own box. They call the pre-made up boxes ‘collection boxes’, they still do a few but not as many as before. Their main focus now are subscription boxes- to keep up with the competition I guess!
How It Works
Once you have signed up you can choose which subscription you would like:
- Beauty Novice- £9 for 3 items
- Beauty Enthusiast- £15 for 6 items
- Beauty Guru- £18 for 9 items
You get free delivery with subscription boxes, wooo! You can also order one-off boxes but they are more expensive and you have to pay for p+p…not worth it! If you only want one box you can cancel the subscription if you don’t want to receive another (you have to cancel it within 7 days before your next box is due).
Unlike other subscription boxes, you can pick the products you actually want to receive! You really are spoilt for choice, there are currently 217 products to choose from! There are so many brands working with Latest In Beauty, including a lot of high-end brands. Some products are sample sizes and some are full size. They add a new product every day to ensure there’s always something new when it’s time to pick your items for your next box.
I always go for the 9 items for £18 because there’s always too much I want to try. Totalling all the RRP’s my box is worth £88.47!!
The picture above is how you will receive your box. When you place your first order your products will arrive in a free black makeup bag (pictured above). This is my second order since the relaunch but they gave me another, thanks! If you’re lucky you might get a free sample, I got a hand sanitizer!
After much deliberation, here the products I went for this time this time…
Philip Kingsley Body Building Shampoo & Conditioner
The shampoo and conditioner came separate, not as a pair- I didn’t see much point in getting one without the other. They are both 75ml which is a great sample size, making them ideal for travel bags. They sell 75ml shampoos and conditioners on the Philip Kingsley website for £7.50 each.
Rituals Reed Diffuser
I haven’t had a Rituals reed diffuser before but it looks really nice! The fragrance is ‘Under a Fig Tree’- I really like the scent, it will be ideal to have in my bathroom. I haven’t seen a reed defuser on the website before, so I thought I would snatch it up. The bottle size is 50ml and retails for £14.50
L’oreal Telescopic Mascara
This is the second time I’ve picked this mascara to have in my beauty box. Instead of being a typical brush wand this one is a slim plastic wand, it works really well for me. It retails for £10.99 and is full size.
Simple Kind To Skin Hydrating Cleansing Oil
I have used a couple of Simple products before but not this one- I am excited to try it out! The bottle is 125ml which is full size and retails at £6.99.
Illamasqua Precision Ink Eyeliner
I’ve never had anything from Illamasqua before…until now! When I was scrolling through I almost missed it, I’m glad I didn’t! This is a waterproof liquid eyeliner in black. It is full size (3ml) and retails for a whopping £20.50.
Schwarzkopf Osis+ Soft Glam Hairspray
My current hairspray is almost empty, so I picked this out to replace it. I don’t use hairspray very often so this 100ml can is the right size for me. This isn’t a full-size product, but I’ve worked out it would sell for approximately £4 based on the full-size price.
Givenchy LipstickNative Natural Deodorant
What a cute little lipstick! The lipstick range is ‘LE ROUGE’, the shade is 202 ‘Rose Dressing’- it is a very girly pink colour. What a luxury to have a Givenchy lipstick, never expected to come across it! It is a sample size (1.3g), so I’ve worked out it would sell for approximately £10 based on the full-size price (full-size is £26 for 3.4g)
Native Natural Deodorant
I haven’t seen a deodorant like this before. Basically, it is 100% natural and is made from mineral salts and aloe vera. You have to moisten the tip and apply, or apply onto wet underarms after a bath/shower. I hope this works! It is 100g (full-size) and retails for £6.49.
I haven’t tried any of the products yet, but let me know if you would like me to review any of the products when I start using them!
I will continue to order from Latest In Beauty because I love it so much! I like to place an order every other month so I don’t end up with too many products. Make sure you only pick what you need so you don’t waste products and money. It is excellent value for money and I love that there is so much to choose from! It also gives me a chance to try brands I wouldn’t normally be able to afford.
