My Favourite 5 Of January 2018

I have been blogging for a year now, but I’ve never done a monthly favourites post before- I know, shocking! As we’re back at the start of the year again, I thought it would be the perfect time to start. I LOVE watching favourites videos on YouTube, and I love reading favourites blog posts as well. I just think it’s a nice way to share what you’ve enjoyed each month and recommend things to others.

I was feeling super comfy and cozy one Saturday afternoon when I was due to take pictures for this post, so I decided to take some chilled out pictures in my living room. My little Zoella calendar is going to come in very useful to display each month as we go along. By the way, the 26th is circled because that’s when my blogiversary was!

Blogiversary 1

I hope you’ll enjoy my favourites post as much as I probably enjoy yours!

What have you been loving this month?

Liz EarleOne of my goals for 2018 is to get a skincare routine and stick to it- emphasis on the stick! I have to be honest here, I’m not very good at looking after my skin, so this goal is well and truly needed.

I have heard a lot of good things about the Liz Earle Hot Cloth Cleanser, so I decided to use this product as a starting point for my new skincare routine. My Mum bought the cleanser for me for Christmas, and I bought the 2 other items myself on eBay. I managed to buy them for a good price because people were selling them as unwanted Christmas gifts.

I love the smell of the cleanser even though it reminds me a bit of Vapour Rub (because of the eucalyptus!). I am getting on very well with all 3 products; my skin is looking and feeling better already. I still look forward to using these products because they don’t feel like a chore to use.

Star WarsI’m showing my geeky side here! Technically, I went to see Star Wars: The Last Jedi in December, but I still want to include it in this post.

I purchased my Star Wars loving family members tickets to see the new Star Wars film for Christmas; we went to see the booked screening on the 30th December. We all enjoyed every minute of it- it was so good! We haven’t all been to the cinema together for year, so it was a nice thing to do.

Do you like my cool Star Wars mug? My Dad got it for me, and a Yoda car air freshener as well. There definitely was a Star Wars theme this year at Christmas; we all got each other Star Wars memorabilia.

Vitamin D SprayI got sent this Vitamin D3 spray from a company that I have worked with before. I know it’s a little bit random, but I’m up for trying anything new. If you’re interested, it can be found on Amazon here, for £5.95.

It is easy to get your dosage of Vitamin D  in the summer because we get it from the sun’s rays, but what about in the winter? You can take Vitamin D supplements, but I don’t know about you, this isn’t exactly something I’d have thought of! So thank you NutrientWise for sending this in my direction.

Unlike other Vitamin D Supplements, this one is in the form of a spray- you simply spray it onto your tongue once a day. One bottle should last a year, so that’s pretty good going. Oh, and it’s peppermint flavoured!

HP SprocketOne of my goals this year is to start a scrapbook for 2018 (it hasn’t happened yet, though!). I have one of those ‘one line a day’ books that I LOVE filling in, so it would be nice to have pictures to go alongside it. That’s where the HP Sprocket comes into play!

The HP Sprocket is a mini printer that prints polaroid sized pictures from your phone or other devices- perfect for scrapbooking! My boyfriend kindly bought it for me for Christmas. It’s a clever little printer because it uses some kind of magic to print without ink- impressive! The quality of the pictures it prints aren’t 100%, but they’re not going to be are they?

GtechYes, a vacuum cleaner has been one of my favourite things this month! This is another present that I got for Christmas, from my parents this time. My boyfriend and I needed a new vacuum cleaner for quite some time as our old one was on the way out. A vacuum cleaner is one of those things you need, but you’d prefer to spend your money on something more exciting!

I picked this Gtech Vacuum cleaner because a few people I know have it and recommended it to me. They weren’t wrong- it’s a great vacuum cleaner! My carpets are like new again; they are so clean and fluffed up.

  1. Great favourites! I always love reading/watching these kinds of posts too! I love my HP sprocket too, but you’re right the quality isn’t 100%, but that’s not really their purpose. They give us cute little prints which are perfect for scrapbooking 😀

  3. The printer is so cute and I didn’t know they made printers that small!
I also want to see the new Star Wars movie so it’s good to know you & your family liked it!

  4. Liz Earle products transformed my skin and I use them every day. The cleanse and polish is amazing! I often wondered about the Gtech hoover. I have a Dyson which I love but would like to change to a good cordless vacuum 🙂 x

  5. You got the vacuum cleaner 😀 good for you!! I have started taking vitamin D last week as I feel soooooo tired!!! Actually I wouldn’t mind a trip to the sun but vitamin D is a bit less expensive… Will you do a review on the Liz Earle products? Quite curious!

  6. I confess I’m slightly jealous now, a cool little photo printer and a new vacuum? You’re living the dream my friend! (Seriously, I may have to save up for those two items, the printer for fun and the vacuum because mine is on its last leg! I wasn’t actually joking!) And I also loved The Last Jedi so much. We’ve been going to see Star Wars for the last 3 years as my husband’s birthday date since it always comes out right around his birthday.

  7. Think I might get that Vit D spray. N Ireland isn’t exactly known for its sunlight.

Envying the Star Wars mug, though I do have a Han Solo Toby mug somewhere… but the printer – I have a serious want on for that! So cool!

  8. Thanks for the recommendation of the HP Sprocket printer, it’s exactly what I need, I started a scrapbook this year and I haven’t put any pictures too lazy to go get them printed. Thanks
